Gluteal Augmentation can be done using gluteal implants or with leftover fat from a body liposuction procedure. The amount of fat to be injected depends on the patient’s preference, the amount that can be extracted, and the size of the glutes. This surgery is performed using a neuroaxial block and sedation. If the patient has liposuction, she must stay hospitalized for one day. The surgery takes approximately four hours if liposuction is also performed.
