Otoplasty helps us to improve the angle of the ears. The objective is reducing it to improve their size and aesthetic and have them harmonize with the face. Many of our patients who undergo this surgery are pediatric patients. Generally this procedure is performed on children between six or seven years of age, but it can be done in any stage of life. The type of anesthesia used depends upon the age of the patient. It can be local in adults or local with sedation for children. We also have surgery for sagging earlobes, which generally happens due to the use of heavy earrings over time, slowly wasting away the fat of the lobes. Local anesthesia is used for this procedure. We reconstruct the earlobes so that you can keep wearing earrings.
